You are our stars, Team Captains
. . . we appreciate all that you do so that together we can reach this year’s fundraising goal.

By recruiting family, friends, and co-workers to join your team and support your personal fundraising efforts for the Little Red Heart Run, you are giving hope to thousands of people whose only chance at life is a transplant.
This resource page is designed to provide you with resources to make team recruitment, promotion, and fundraising fun and easy so that together we can reach this year’s fundraising goal!

Getting started.

SET UP YOUR INDIVIDUAL FUNDRAISER AND TEAM FUNDRAISING

Once you have signed up, set up your team and personal fundraising page. Personalize your page with photos, quotes, and your personal journey.

HOW TO SET UP YOUR FUNDRAISING PAGE
___________________________________________________________

REACH OUT AND ASK FOR SUPPORT

Come up with a list of everyone in your personal network – family and friends, co-workers, doctors, and even service providers. Decide on who you want to ask to join your team, and who you want to ask for contributions in support of your team. Explain why you are seeking team members and contributions and remember to be brief, but informative.

GET SOCIAL

Social media is perfect for fundraising and building your team. Post status updates about the LRH5K with a link to your personal fundraising page, or create a Facebook group for your team to communicate with each other. Don’t forget to use #LRH5K and #LittleRedHeart, we might share your posts!

UTILIZE TEAM CAPTAIN CENTRAL

Don’t forget to check out the Get Involved section. View important dates, download fundraising tools, and customization materials to help you promote your team.

STAND OUT! DESIGN A TEAM T-SHIRT!

Proudly and creatively display your team name on a team t-shirt! Ask your team members to wear it at team meetings and especially on the event day. Be creative with your colors, pictures, and messages.

TIP: Sell these shirts to raise money for your team!

SHOW YOUR TEAM SPIRIT!

Create a team sign or banner for team gatherings and event day. Post your selfies, photos, and videos of your team on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Use #LittleRedHeart and #LRH5K to show your support! You can also email your photos to hdean@lifeshareok.org and we’ll post them on our page for you.

HOST A FUNDRAISING AND AWARENESS EVENT

Many team captains and event participants coordinate fundraising and awareness events to benefit their team. We will assist you when possible, as schedules and timing permit, by providing materials, and answering any questions you may have.
